Getting Started
We're glad you're here! As a member of the Innovative Teachers Network, you have access to a variety of educational resources, expertise and services. Here are a few tips to help you find out what is available.
The first step is to register with the Network. This free registration provides you with complete access to all of the resources and communities on the Network. If you haven't already done so, this would be a good time to save it to your Internet "Favorites" of "Bookmark" folder so that you can get back to it easily in the days to come.
Next you'll want to create a profile, so that others who share your interests will be able to contact you. Then you'll be ready to do any of the following:
Browse through the Resources Section
Search the Resources to find classroom and professional resources which will support you in creating a 21st century learning environment for yourself and with your students. Some resources have been created by teachers like you, others have been developed just for Innovative Teachers members by respected education partners. From the Resources section of the Network you can also:
- Sign up to receive the monthly Innovative Teachers newsletter
- Submit a resource that you have created for peer review and possible publishing on the Network
- Find research and white papers
- Register for and participate in the Peer Coaching program
Get Answers and Support from the Communities Section
Start an online community with your own staff, or like-minded teachers in other regions. Join a community to learn about innovations in your subject area or grade level. Create a survey to see what others think about a particular topic.
Customize your Experience with MySite
You can create a MySite page to customize your view of the Network - storing resources most relevant to your interests, and your own work-in-progress and communications. Have real-time access to your educator friends, and set up alerts to be notified when resources and people become available in areas that interest you.
